Terms of service

By creating an account or using the Link Green Bay platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These terms apply to all users, including residents, organization admins, and visitors.

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Organization admin accounts must be held by individuals authorized to represent the registered organization.

If you request and manage an organization profile, you agree to:

• Only request profiles for organizations you are authorized to represent
• Keep profile information accurate, current, and complete
• Not misrepresent your organization's mission, services, or status
• Accept that edits to trust fields (organization name, mission, website, categories, and service areas) are subject to admin review before publication

We reserve the right to edit, flag, or remove organization profiles that contain inaccurate or misleading information.

Public records. Organization profiles on Link Green Bay are initially populated using publicly available information, including IRS tax filings, state nonprofit registrations, and publicly accessible websites. This data is public by nature and is aggregated to help community members discover local nonprofits.

Not an endorsement. Listing an organization on this platform does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of any kind. The “Verified” badge means we have confirmed the organization is a registered nonprofit — it does not represent a quality assessment or financial vetting.

Accuracy disclaimer. Organization information may not reflect the most current details. We encourage organizations to claim their profiles and update their information directly. Users should independently verify information before making decisions based on platform listings.

Claim, correct, or request removal. Organizations may claim their profile to take ownership of their listing and update their information at any time. If an organization wishes to correct inaccurate information or request removal of their listing, they may do so by claiming their profile or contacting us at hello@linklocally.org. We will respond to removal requests within 30 days.

Community reporting. Any user may report inaccurate or misleading information on an organization profile using the “Report incorrect information” link on the profile page. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team.

All users must follow our Community Guidelines when participating in conversations, events, and other community features. In summary, you agree not to:

• Post harassing, threatening, or discriminatory content
• Share others' personal information without consent
• Spam, post repetitive content, or self-promote in community spaces
• Attempt to circumvent moderation, create duplicate accounts, or impersonate others
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose

Your content. You retain ownership of all content you submit to the platform, including organization profiles, posts, images, and event listings. By submitting content, you grant Link Green Bay a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote that content within the platform and related promotional materials.

Our platform. The Link Green Bay name, logo, design, and underlying code are the property of Link Green Bay. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our written permission.

Takedown requests. If you believe content on the platform infringes your intellectual property rights, contact us at hello@linklocally.org with details about the content and your request.

Link Green Bay is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any organization profile or user-submitted content.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Link Green Bay and its volunteers, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.

We are a community-built platform, not a vetting service. Users should independently verify information about organizations before making decisions based on platform listings.

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or our Community Guidelines, with or without prior notice.

Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately. Content you submitted may be retained in anonymized form to preserve the integrity of the network and community conversations.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify registered users via email and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
