Since 1971, Bubolz Nature Preserve has been a place where curiosity about the natural world takes root. Across 725 acres of trails, prairie, and forest, more than 80,000 visitors a year come to learn, explore, and reconnect with the outdoors.

Our mission

Connecting all people to nature.

Bubolz Nature Preserve connects people to nature through environmental education, recreation, and conservation. By delivering standards-aligned, hands-on programs for youth and modeling best-practice conservation work, the preserve provides outdoor experiences that build healthier people, stronger communities, and lifelong environmental stewards.
